Job Description:

Construction Superintendent - Santa Ynez/Buelton

Sunseri Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Superintendent who is committed to delivering a successful construction experience for our clients. The Superintendents is responsible for all aspects of jobsite management including, safety management, subcontractor coordination, inspections, quality control, schedule, project logs, SWPPP and effective communication with the project team.

We're seeking an individual with hands-on superintendent skills to join our team to perform new construction and renovation of affordable multi-family housing in Chico and surrounding communities. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all site personnel are following safety protocols, including OSHA, Cal-OSHA and all applicable safety standards
  • Ensure project Quality meets or exceeds owner expectations and all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
  • Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
  • Working with project team to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
  • Reviewing all drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
  • Ability to encourage and motivate your project team

Candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Type 5 multi-family or senior housing
  • Good knowledge of complete structures
  • Proficient computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Stability in previous employment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • The ability to complete daily/weekly paperwork documentation
  • References that support your leadership and ability to build strong relationships
  • A valid California drivers license and safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment physical & drug screen tests

The following attributes are a plus:

  • English-Spanish bilingual ability
  • Podium experience
  • OSHA 30 and/or 10 Training
