Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a procurement log for every document related to the project to ensure timeliness of the master schedule
  • Assist Project Superintendent with daily subcontractor work schedules
  • Assist Project Superintendent and Project Manager with obtaining permits
  • Schedule and Supervise temporary labor and carpenter as needed; assist with site clean-up
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings and review all forms/ JHA’s
  • Supervise that all punch lists are completed timely
  • Conduct Material take-offs and small material acquisitions for the project
  • Prepare, Organize and Track submittal log
  • Prepare, Organize city, county, fire, and elevator inspections
  • Ensure timeliness of all submittals and shop drawings
  • Review all submittals and all shop drawings for accuracy and to ensure intent of contract drawings is met
  • Prepare, Organize and Track all RFI’s
  • Track and organize subcontractor toolbox talks/ JHA’s
  • Prepare and Maintain current As-builts in Bluebeam for the duration of the project
  • Set up and maintain a neat and efficient filing system according to procedures in each job folder
  • Maintain a neat, orderly field office   
  • Conduct 7-day state storm water inspections of the site if there is a state water permit
  • Maintain all site water management structures and associated site map updates
  • Maintain and update meeting minutes for OAC and Subcontractor meetings
  • Maintain and Update all jobsite safety orientations for all Roche employees, temporary labor employees, subcontractors, and visitors
  • Maintain and Update all site signage (Safety, Roche required signage, Storm Water Permits, etc.)
  • Maintain and submit accurate, timely reports and forms as required by the Corporate and Regional offices and specific to the project including:
    • Submittal Log
    • Cost Impact Log
    • Field Purchase Order Log
    • Request for Information Log
    • Rental Log
    • Daily Progress Photos
    • Roche Equipment Reports
    • Accident/Incident/Loss-Damage Reports
    • Daily Erosion Control and Storm Water Inspections
    • Twice-Daily Safety Inspections
    • Weekly/Monthly owner progress report as required
  • Accurately and continuously update the master drawing set
  • Analyze construction documents and drawings, and forecast any possible field problems; recognize discrepancies between construction documents and field conditions; communicate interpreted information to the Architect, Project Superintendent, and Project Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering and computer technology
  • Advanced knowledge in Bluebeam and Microsoft software
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understand fundamental business activities and procedures

 

Education Requirements:

  • Four-year construction management degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of related experience in construction.
