Job Description:

 

Miller, Morton, Caillat & Nevis, LLP is 95-year-old law firm with offices in San Jose and Newport Beach, California.  Its principal focus is on construction and real estate development matters, and its clients include many of the largest developers and general contractors in the United States.  The firm is seeking a paralegal to join its team to help support civil litigation matters, the majority of which will be complex construction claims.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Document review
  • Management of voluminous e-discovery document databases
  • Discovery (organization of client documents, privilege review, bates stamping and preparation of document productions, analysis and coding of construction project files, preparation of attorney binders)
  • Deposition preparation and exhibit management
  • Coordinating and tracking files and invoices with/to consultants and vendors
  • File and Case Management (maintaining complex case files and indices for pleadings, discovery, witnesses, and exhibits)
  • Trial preparation and participation

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
