Job Description:

Via Avanti is a premier mixed use multifamily residential development in Sherman Oaks, California and will offer 325 apartments and over 36K SF of retail. Citrus Commons is a premier mixed use multifamily residential development in Sherman Oaks, California and will offer 249 units and 27K SF of retail and 146K SF of office space. 

The Assistant Superintendent will:

  • Assist the Superintendent to oversee the construction of Via Avanti and Citrus Commons, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that all work is completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Monitor progress of construction projects and report on any delays or issues to management.
  • Will assist creating budgets and obtain subcontractor proposals
  • Create and maintain project schedules on a daily basis through ProCore, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Prepare for weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Prepare and manage RFI’s through ProCore
  • Work with office project manager support team 
  • Ensure that all work complies with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure that construction plans are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • College degree in Construction Management or equivalent
  • Jobsite experience 
  • Thorough understanding of construction best practices and ability to follow plans and specifications
  • Exemplary leadership and decision-making skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ProCore
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to delete and negotiate
  • Positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills
  • Active and Valid driver license is required
