Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to assist overseeing all aspects of construction at IMT Via Avanti. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. They will have strong leadership skills, be organized, detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent, Construction team, project manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed to meet our high standards.

Position Details

IMT Via Avanti is a premier mixed use multifamily residential development in Sherman Oaks, California and will offer 325 apartments and over 36K SF of retail. The project is currently underway and in the framing stage of construction.

The Assistant Superintendent will:

  • Assist the Superintendent to oversee the construction of IMT Via Avanti, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that all work is completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Monitor progress of construction projects and report on any delays or issues to management.
  • Will assist in obtaining subcontractor proposals
  • Create and maintain project schedules on a daily basis through ProCore, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Prepare for weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Prepare and manage RFI’s through ProCore
  • Work with office project manager support team 
  • Ensure that all work complies with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure that construction plans are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • College degree in Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Jobsite experience. 
  • Thorough understanding of construction best practices and ability to follow plans and specifications.
  • Exemplary leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ProCore.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to delete and negotiate.
  • Positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Active and Valid driver license is required.
