JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Innovation Engineer Intern supports the realization of BNBuilders’ innovation vision. In addition, this role works with the Innovation team to identify and remove constraints to enhance BNB’s project operations.

 

SALARY: $26.00 hourly (San Diego region)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Support Innovation Engineers:

  • 3D Coordination (MEPF, Structure, Interiors, Envelope, Logistics)

Support Innovation Managers:

  • Production Planning
  • Document phase schedules.
  • Facilitate study of phase schedules.
  • Visualize phase schedules using 3D models

Produce 3D Models for:

  • System quantity takeoff
  • 3D Coordination
  • Mixed Reality
  • Self-Perform Concrete Support
  • Self-Perform Drywall/Framing Support
  • Business Development

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Virtual Design & Construction.
  • Knowledge of current BIM software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethics as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standards of conduct from self and others.
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM.
  • Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction. Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion. Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
