Construction Project Engineer (Entry Level / New Grad)

Position Overview

WCI-GC is seeking an entry-level Construction Project Engineer to support project teams across all phases of construction. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate who is eager to learn the construction process, develop technical and leadership skills, and grow into a future Project Manager or Superintendent role.

Project Engineers work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution

  • Assist with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation

  • Help track project schedules, budgets, and change management items

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers

  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and procurement

  • Participate in jobsite meetings, inspections, and coordination efforts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or upcoming graduate) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and ask questions

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus but not required
