Project Engineer Intern

• WCI-GC is seeking a motivated and curious Construction Management Intern to join our team for the summer. This paid internship is designed for a college student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field who wants hands-on exposure to real-world commercial construction projects.

• The intern will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers, gaining insight into both field operations and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with day-to-day project tasks
• Support document control, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting notes
• Help with quantity takeoffs, basic estimating, and scope reviews
• Participate in project meetings and jobsite walks
• Observe and support field operations alongside Superintendents
• Assist with schedule updates, safety documentation, and quality control processes
• Perform general administrative and coordination tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related degree
• Strong interest in commercial construction
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with construction software is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
• Professional communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
