Job Description:
Project Engineer – Custom Residential Construction
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to join our custom residential construction team. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of high-end single-family home construction projects — ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, foremen, and trade partners to bring our homes from design to completion.
What You Will Do:
- Support the Project Manager with scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and track RFPs, RFIs, Change Orders, Field Reports, Gantt Schedules, Budgets, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractors, and inspections.
- Monitor daily progress, safety, and quality on-site.
- Help manage project closeout, punch lists, and homeowner turnover.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in residential construction or project coordination.
- Strong understanding of homebuilding processes, materials, and codes.
- Proficient with programs in the Google Workspace Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive team player who can thrive in a fast-paced field environment.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in single-family or multifamily construction.
- Knowledge of estimating or takeoffs.
- OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training.
