Job Description:
Del Amo Construction's rotational summer internship provides you with experiences both in the office and on the jobsite, allowing you to maximize your exposure to the construction industry and its career paths.
We are currently looking for students who are passionate about pursuing a career in construction and a career with Del Amo for our summer 2023 internship program.
Our internship program is comprised of three rotations, a unique experience that gives students maximum exposure to the company, its people and the construction process.
During the first rotation, you will work in our office with our experienced estimating team, learning how to do take offs, read plans and about design development.
During the second and third rotations, you will work on-site with a full project team. Here, you will work closely with our knowledgeable Superintendents, Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers in the heart of the construction action. During each rotation, you will work side by side with each mentor, fully immersing yourself in the project and learning from the team.
We will expand your knowledge with the trades and construction processes, but also with different construction software, an increasingly important part of the industry. Del Amo pays for interns to obtain their Cal OSHA 10 certification and Procore certification.
Throughout the summer, we host a variety of Intern events, catering to the interests of the Interns. During previous summers, we have coordinated happy hours, dinners, field trip days to tour different job sites, golf outings, and Q&As with our employees and the leadership team.
