Job Description:

General Engineering Contractor based in Santa Barbara for over 50 years seeks an aggressive, self-starting Project Engineer for internship employment. Initial duties may include daily job site functions, purchasing, estimating, budget and cost control, material inventory, submittal preparation and follow-up, change orders, RFIs, material and crew tracking, and scheduling. You will work with an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to learn our means and methods. Many of them are former graduates of Cal Poly. Typically, on a new project you will be involved from the initial bidding of the project right through to completion. Enrollment in either Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required.

Our projects are located throughout California. Although a considerable amount of work is completed in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties, projects anywhere within the state can be expected. Currently projects are ongoing in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Lake Cachuma, and Northern California.

Previous projects our company has completed include desalination plants, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, marinas, piers, bridges, coastal stairways, campgrounds, tunnel work, and dredging. We invite you to visit our website to gain a greater understanding of the work that we have done.

A competitive salary can be expected. To apply please send resumes by email to Kyle Cushman and Shane Alexander, at Kyle@cushmancontracting.com and shane@cushmancontracting.com .
