Job Description:
 

The Facilities Planning Division is primarily responsible for overseeing the Capital Improvement Program. One specific function of the Facilities Planning Division is planning and funding various types of facility-related capital projects for delivery. Recently, the Board of Supervisors approved a new Project Manager position to be added to the Facilities Planning Division to prepare feasibility studies and conceptual plans that define the scope of large facility-related capital projects, including the location, size, and rough cost of new, expanded, or substantially modified facilities. This function requires significant collaboration with other divisions in Public Works and other County Departments to clearly define and consider factors like operational needs and constructability, as well as hiring and managing external consultants.

The ideal candidate will be capable of confidently managing the scope, schedule, and budget for a wide range of capital projects at any given time.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, sense of professionalism, well-established organizational strategies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be committed to consistently producing quality deliverables, and interested in professional growth within the organization.
