The major emphasis of this four-year program is on organizing and managing the construction phase of people's efforts to improve their environment. The program is oriented toward the practical problems of the construction industry. The first two years are devoted to material similar to related disciplines in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED). The final two years emphasize construction procedures, estimating, organization, critical-path planning, cost engineering and computer uses - the application of the basic sciences including mathematics and physics.
