Cal Poly and the Construction Management Department have a variety of scholarships available. The Financial Aid Office can help you with scholarships as well as information on grants and loans. The types and amounts of aid Cal Poly awards or recommends are subject to availability of funds, enrollment status, and financial need. Scholarships available specifically in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design and in the Construction Management Department are listed below.
The department also receives numerous scholarship opportunities from companies or organizations related to the construction industry. The department maintains a bulletin board in Engineering West (Bldg. 21) just outside of Room 120B. You are welcome to browse these offerings and the department will make a copy of any that are of interest to you.

Beavers Heavy Construction

Must meet following criteria:
- CM major or CE major w/CM minor
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Junior or senior level
- Financial need or worthiness
- US citizenship
- At least one of the following should be proof of a professional goal in the heavy construction industry:
- Stated intention of pursuing a heavy construction industry career
- Part-time or summer employment in the industry
- Enrollment in a related curriculum
- A written paper outlining the reasons for choosing this career
Don Chapin Company

- Preference must be given to a student who is from San Benito, Monterey or Santa Cruz Counties

National Housing Endowment
Each year the National Housing Endowment, the philanthropic arm of NAHB, provides over $300,000 in scholarship dollars to students studying in construction related programs. We currently administer four programs that are available annually with primary focus going to students with a demonstrated interest in residential construction management.

- Interest and ability in area of computer applications and computer skills related to architecture and environmental design

Dr. Glenn G. McRae Internship

- Junior or senior class level
- Intern must demonstrate interest in Cal Poly and multi-cultural student activities, competence in graphics and basic design
- Intern must provide tutorial assistance in the CAED learning assistance program
Don Tanklage Scholarship

Must meet following criteria:
- Architecture or Construction Management major
- Recommended minimum 3.0 GPA
- Sophomore, junior, or senior class
- Financial need
- Scholarship may renew based on following criteria:
- Student must be in good academic standing
- Full-time (12 units) continuous enrollment per quarter at Cal Poly
- Completion of at least 36 units each year; applicable progression towards baccalaureate degree at Cal Poly
Peter Tax and Adam Jarman
1 @ $300
- Min 3.0 GPA
- Any major within CAED
- Class level: open
- Preference for financial need
- Participation at time of award in Cal Poly recognized academic year-long study abroad program
RRM Scholarship Endowment
1 @ $2,175
- Majors: rotate each year in the CAED; 1st ARCE, 2nd ARCH, 3rd CRP, 4th CM, 5th LARC (order of endowment agreement)(CM recieved award in 07-08)
