Progress Reports (on-line guidelines and form) |
Due: Monthly Progress Reports assist students in evaluating the overall Co-Op experience. Students are required to report their monthly progress. This will inform the Co-Op Director of your on-going progress and any problems that require assistance. If there are any immediately problems or concerns, contact your Co-Op Director directly. |
Professional Report (on-line guidelines) |
Due: End of the second week of the quarter following your work assignment The Professional Report gives the student experience in writing both professional and general reports and encourages the student to reflect on the experience and educational benefits. Complete your report while you are still working and have access to materials at the job site. Check with your Co-Op Director if you have questions. Two hard copies are required to be submitted to your Co-Op Director. Late submission can affect your credit/no credit determination. |
Supervisor Evaluation (on-line form) |
Due: End of the second week of the quarter following your work assignment The Supervisor Evaluation is intended to be a realistic assessment of your present level of skill in specific learning outcome areas, to be completed by your immediate Co-Op supervisor and returned to your Co-Op Director. Multiple evaluations are acceptable if you worked for more than one supervisor. Late submission can affect your credit/no credit determination. |
Debriefing/Submission Requirements |
Due: End of the second week of the quarter following your work assignment Schedule a "Debriefing" with your Co-Op Faculty Advisor when you return to school. This session involves a one-hour meeting with the Co-Op Director to review your overall Co-Op experience and submit your course material (Co-Op Professional Report and Supervisor Evaluation). Late submission can affect your credit/no credit determination. |
Grading |
Co-Op is an academic assignment and credit/no credit will be determined based on the following criteria:
You will be given a grade of "RP" (Report in Progress) on your report card until you complete your Co-Op assignment. Your Co-Op Director will submit a grade change form to Academic Records to change the "RP" to a credit/no credit grade, which will then be reflected on your updated transcript. |
Extensions |
If you decide to extend your Co-Op, you must get approval from your Co-Op Faculty Advisor. |
